SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

At Tim Adams Specialty Coffee, we care about our coffee at every stage of the process. Our goal is to run a sustainable coffee business from the coffee beans we source, relationships we build and the packaging we use to share our product. This is why we have partnered with Brisbane based company Eco Barista to ensure we are doing all we can to minimise our Carbon Footprint. From our plant based compostable cups to our recyclable soft plastic bags, together with Eco Barista we aim to build a more environmentally friendly future for the specialty coffee industry by using the most sustainable materials available.

Coffee Cups

Made from plants our cups maintain Australian standard (AS4736-ABAP) for commercial (industrial) composting. Lined with PLA (poly lactic acid) a plant based bio plastic, ensures our cups compost after use.

Coffee Bags

Our new soft plastic recyclable bag is designed to be deposited in the REDcycle collection stream at major supermarkets around Australia. The addition of our removable valve enables the bag to be re made into more useful things like road base and park furniture. In order to recycle we ask that you please remove the one-way valve and any labels that may be stuck on the bag before you place into your soft plastic recycle bin.
